Change Matters is happily a small company providing focused support to leaders working to grow their mission-based organizations. We partner with up to a dozen nonprofits per year, and reach hundreds through fundraising workshops. Typically, one-to-three members of our team work with client-partners, offering tailored consultation and rolling-up-the-sleeves service. We only bring on team members with practical experience in areas important to our clients: startups, strategy, growth, communications, fundraising, philanthropy, leadership, governance, and social networking.

In case you're wondering, ChangeMatters is pro-choice, LGBT allied, community arts enthusiastic, secular more than interfaith, imperfectly green and sustainable, and globally connected. We won't take projects that conflict directly with our values and hopes.

Recognized as a leader in development strategy for nonprofit and non-governmental organizations, Amy has served in the roles of grantmaker, lobbyist, publisher, executive director, development director trainer, and advisor. Having led, fumbled, and survived working in numerous nonprofits in transition, she understands the real-life pressures of directing medium-sized and small social purpose organizations undergoing startup, turnaround, and major growth.

Amy's work has generated well over $65 million for U.S. and international organizations, in the areas of grantseeking, grassroots giving, earned revenue, major gift and capital campaigns. She launched ChangeMatters in 1998.

An in-demand speaker and facilitator addressing the real-life pressures of leading mission-based organizations, especially those with limited resources and capacity, she has assisted staff and volunteers in hundreds of groups and consulted with clients throughout the United States and in Indian Country, Central and Eastern Europe, and the former Soviet Union.
