Strategic Support for Social Change

We help non-profit organizations attract and secure sustainable revenues by improving strategy, building management capacity, and providing technical support. We work on getting organizations unstuck and on a stronger path to growth.

Associates

A select group of professionals with experience in philanthropy, program design, start-up organizations, social enterprise, prospect research, writing, and editing for nonprofits work with Change Matters on projects.

Randal Mason has over 15 years experience working in and supporting the nonprofit sector. He has developed and led trainings for hundreds of participants from over a dozen countries. Previously, Randal was the Director of the Civil Society Division at IREX (the International Research & Exchanges Board), where he supervised a diverse portfolio of international development programs ranging from women's empowerment to technology initiatives. Prior to that, he was the Director of IREX's Development Division, where oversaw the organization's government and foundation fundraising initiatives. In both positions, Randal has worked on the design of numerous grassroots support and education programs.

Laura Cook specializes in prospect research and meeting planning. She has worked with Campaign Consultation on projects providing sustainability and fundraising training for statewide community service agencies, and the Corporation for National Service (including AmeriCorps, VISTA, and Senior Corps programs). Previously, she worked in the development department at Johns Hopkins University. Her genuine concern for people, dogged commitment to getting it right, and sassy sense of humor put training participants at ease.
