Vision
A vibrant social change sector of spirited, well-funded nonprofit organizations building a just, sustainable, creative and
peaceful world led by diverse people who are smart, ethical, and fearless (even about fundraising).
Intentionally Small

But Mighty. Change Matters is what big business might call a boutique firm -- we are happily a small company working personally
and creatively in our niche. We have a client base of up to a dozen nonprofits per year, and reach hundreds through fundraising
workshops. Typically, one-to-three members of our team work with client-partners, offering tailored consultation and rolling-up-the-sleeves
service. We only bring on team members with practical fundraising, management, and leadership experience in small and mid-sized
nonprofits.
Principles
1. Asset-Based and Mission-Rooted Fundraising. We build on what *is* working, work from where you are, and honor the unique
assets and soul of your organization.
2. Combining Facilitation, Technical Assistance, and Coaching. We are committed to helping you strengthen your organization's
ability to do effective work. We offer authentic challenge, honest feedback, practical tools, useful resources, tailored consultation
and rolling-up-the-sleeves service. Hoping to be your one of your organization's most trusted critics and informed enthusiasts,
Change Matters brings practical fundraising, management, and leadership experience in small and mid-sized nonprofits.
3. Liberate and Modify. We lift good ideas from small business, community development, psychology, theatre and dance,
fine art and design, traditional cultures, and more. Our magic is in tailoring best practices in fundraising and nonprofit
management to your group's assets, environment, challenges, and leadership.
4. Inclusive and Progressive. ChangeMatters values diversity in all its forms, including and beyond constructs of race,
culture, origin, background, religion, age, and sexual orientation. Organizations are more effective when they build a culture
of mission-focus along with inclusiveness of experience and viewpoint. We try to set an example of being inclusive and actively
anti-bias, in our engagement of consulting teams, in seeking diverse partner organizations, and in our work. We will not accept
contract work with organizations whose intent it is to promote cultural bias and discrimination, deny human rights, or whose
work conflicts directly with building inclusive communities or progressive social change.
